Benadryl withdrawal Empty
PostSubject: Benadryl withdrawal   Benadryl withdrawal EmptyFri May 21, 2021 9:58 am

Well folks, I have another story for you. Max started itching from pollen. So vet's office said give him benadryl 3 times a day, until itching stopped.  Bad idea. It made him real hyper for 3 days, that he was using it.

He couldn't sleep, and was real hyper, and the itching became worse.

So, we took him off benadryl, and he went through withdrawal for 3 days.  Also, it made him have to go out and pee more too.

What a bummer, no sleep for 3 nights.  Right now he's upside down, sleeping and snoring.

So folks beware....some dogs can't tolerate Benadryl.

While researching the symptoms of withdrawal, I came across this article.
